Meili and Sam's wedding photographs are now finished, and I stop for a moment - after two straight days of editing - just to ponder the beauty of what I had witnessed during the course of that day.
Photographing Meili & Sam's wedding was one of the most rewarding experiences in my entire life. I felt as though I had forgotten what love really was, and this gorgeous couple were reminding me; along with everyone else around them. What simple, clean, pure & classic love they hold for one another. Forever soft and reassuring; with the assurance and warm comfort of knowing that they were meant for one another. It was a fact all who witnessed could see clearly, and a security they themselves had come to rest in for their Eternity; a Home in each others arms.
Meili was absolutely stunning. A gorgeous gown that suited her classic, feminine nature perfectly; beautiful hair and makeup that had been lovingly styled and applied by a very close friend, and a perfectly crafted bouquet she carried in perfectly manicured hands. But, what made Meili truely breathtaking that day was her glorious smile. She was glowing, and the whole world couldn't help but stop, and watch, and marvel.
And there Sam would be, always by her side; always stroking her shoulder, gazing into her eyes adoringly; a phase of euphoria would pass over his face, followed by pure gratitude. He was enchanted by her, captivated. His chivalry and selfless-adoration for his new Bride shone clear through all darkness. His love for Meili, I can assure you, will never die. Meili will never stop loving that man who stood proudly at her side ~ first in the photo that started it all, and now, on their first day of Eternity. Her words rung out and struck the hearts of every guest in that reception as she proclaimed with tears and a slight tremble; as loud and as passionately as her timid, polite voice could muster:
"I LOVE MY HUSBAND!"
That phrase alone burst the hall into flames of joy and awe. All fell silent; tears filled every guests eyes. No one person could believe that such a petite frame could hold so much love inside it. And yet, everyone in that hall, knowing Meili, knew that Meili is nothing BUT love. Her entire being is composed of it.
They say that the Magnolia flower is symbolic of dignity, love of nature & nobility. I think it should be symbolic of Meili and Sam. What could be nobler than their pure love? Magnolia flowers seemed to be springing into bloom - hundreds of branches overflowing with dusk pink blossoms - everywhere we went. Like a welcoming ceremony, a procession preceding their arrival, embellishing the moments in which they basked in one another's love.
